There is a wide array of wild birds that call the Abacos home, from waterbirds like herons and egrets to songbirds like warblers and vireos.

 

The island’s varied habitats, including pine forests, wetlands, and beaches, offer ideal habitats for a wide range of bird species. Many of the bird species found in Abaco are migratory, making the island an important stopover location for these traveling birds throughout the year.
